MBRA Methods and Media

Our MBRAs were printed by Protolabs in WaterShed XC 11122 resin built with 0.004 inch layers using the stereolithography file that can be downloaded here.

We use MBRA holders that were developed by the Britton lab that were printed by Protlabs with PA 12 Black Multi Jet fusion resin in 80 micron layers using the stereolithography file that can be downloaded here.

We published a book chapter providing detailed protocols for assembly and operation of MBRAs for characterizing colonization resistance. This book chapter can be downloaded here with an accessible version of Table 3 (Bioreactor defined medium recipe) available here. The recipe for BRM3, our most commonly medium for studies, is available here.
